Evolutionism :: Science, Theories, Darwinism
What is Evolution? Evolution is the theory that all living things in the world prolong comeinto being through a non-guided, innate(p) process starting from a primeval mass of subatomicparticles and radiation, over 20 billion years ago (History). This theory says that all living thingshave increased intelligence or have changed in new(prenominal) ways over many, many years.The theory of development hasnt been around for ever. Before the twentieth century, statewanted to understand the world around them, but many of them believed that God createdeverything. A small number of scientists believed that living things had evolved from each otherand thither was no God. The theory was sort of a dream or manifestation without any originalgrounds for belief. Over time more and more people looked into evolutionism and theydeveloped possibilities of how it occurred. Many theories were developed, but someone alwaysdisproved them. Recently with the discovery of genetic mutation and a new unde rstanding ofgenes and DNA, the evidence supporting evolution has greatly increased.Charles Darwin was one scientist who helped to increase the evidence supportingevolution. Darwin developed the idea of natural selection where living things that reproducedin large numbers and survived became dominant and other living things adapted to survive, orthey died. Francis Crick, a scientist, co-discovered DNA which opened new doors to the idea ofevolutionism (History). DNA is the pattern by which people are created as individuals. like a shotEvolutionism is the only origin of life that can be taught in public schools. However, in private

Death Of A Salesman 10 :: essays research papers
Death of a Salesman was a powerful play, written by Arthur milling machine, which was produced in 1949. He establishes a serious tone towards his subject. Also, Miller sets an ambiguous attitude towards the audience. Miller established a very serious tone ab come in the relationship between the father, Willy, and his son, Biff. Miller feels that a father should always be deard. However, Willy has filled his son with false values, emphasizing flashy success and personal popularity, like being star signal caller for his football team, at the cost of real effort and personal integrity, like when Biff flunked his math exam. He even taught Biff to steal, without even realizing it. &8220Willy...Biff Go serious over to where they&8217re building the apartment house and get some sand...Charley Listen, if they steal any more from that building the watchman&8217ll put the cops on them...Willy You shoulda seen the ram d birth they brought home last week...(50). As one can see, Willy is almo st encouraging Biff to steal in order to make a new stoop. However, when Willy finds out Biff has been stealing other things, like the school&8217s football, he seems shocked. &8220Willy What is he stealing?...Why is he stealing? What did I tell him? I neer in my life told him anything but decent things.(40). Because of the lack of morals, Willy had made it extremely difficult for Biff to love him, especially when he caught him with a women other than his mother. Nevertheless, he always loved his father, even when he totally ignored him. &8220Biff, crying, broken Will you let me go, for Christ&8217s Sake?...Willy, astonished, elevated Isn&8217t that-isn&8217t that remarkable? Biff-he liked me...Happy, deeply moved Always did, Pop(133). When Biff was crying, it showed that he still loved his father, even though Willy is making it hard for him to live his own life. Happy&8217s quote shows that Biff always loved his father. As a result, Miller feels that no matter what circumstances, a son should always love his father. Miller set an ambiguous tone towards his audience. The audience must chose whether they pity or scorn Willy&8217s actions. For example, when Willy committed suicide, one can pity him because sidesplitting himself could have been an act of love for his family. Since he saw himself as an inadequate husband and father, Willy felt that his family would be better off without him in their lives. Also, by cleansing himself, his family would reap the life insurance benefits from his death for his family.

Introduction Cancer is a wide-ranging group of diseases engenderd by anarchical cell growth that more than 200 different types have been identified. In this disease, the cells divide and grow intensity, forming malignant tumors, and invading nearby parts of the body(1).Cancer has been in the whole of human history. The oldest written record dates back to about 1600 years BC in Egypt described breast cancer(2). The cause of cancer is complex and part unknown. Although only 5-10% of cancers are due to inherited gene defects, tobacco, poor diet, certain infections, treated with radiation, lack of physical activity, obesity and pollution can directly ill-treat genes and ultimately lead to carcinogenic mutations (3).Rendering to recent statistics, cancer is responsible for 23% of all deaths in USA and is the second most common cause of death after heart disease (4). It is expected that by 2020 the world population reaches 7.5 billion that 15 million new cases diagnosed and 12 million patients provide lose their lives (5). Based on figures provided in 2013 by the American Cancer Society, the most common cancer in wo custody is breast cancer (29%) and in men is prostate cancer (28%) (6).Surgery as a primary method in treatment of solid cancers involved in pain relief and patients survival. In surgery the tumor was completely removed along with the lymph nodes in the area. This method is the only way to eliminate some cases of cancer (7). Zac Fertig English Period 5 Odysseus, the protagonist of the Odyssey by Homer fits the outline of an epic hero because he is courageous, quick-witted, and a natural leader. Odysseus isnt only kn sustain for his muscles, also his clever mind. He is one of the great heroes that possesses both brains and brawn. He is also a hero with outstanding skill and bra genuinely. It is no wonder why many teachers refer to Odysseus as a powerful hero. I believe Odysseus is a hero because he is clever, can overcome obstacles, is very brave, a leader but like all great heroes, he has his weaknesses. Some of Odysseus most recognizable traits are his heroism and leadership. One thing that shows his bravery was his escape from Polyphemus. He was courageous to stab out Polyphemuss eyes using a burning pole. Odysseus states I took my twelve best fighters and went ahead. This example involving the water flea shows that one of Odysseus great traits is his leadership. He is not the type of leader that sits on safe land while he sends his men in to fight, but a leader who engages in battle with his men. There are also times when many men are afraid, but Odysseus shows hes in not letting anything get going in his way and speaks up when nobody will We all felt pressure in our hearts, but I spoke up in reply. He was fearless enough to take risks. Odysseus said Friends, have we never been in danger before this? More fearsome, is it now, then when we faced Cyclops? This quote shows that in time of danger, Odysseus is willing to put his life in jeopardy and not give up. Odysseus had the heart of a fighter, he would battle whenever necessary, no matter who his oppositeness was, in this case the Cyclops. Most epic heroes are aided and guarded by gods wh... ...ugh Calypso wouldnt let him leave the island so it wasnt his fault. Calypso eventually agreed to allow Odysseus to leave the island So then, royal son of Laertes, Odysseus, man of exploits, still eager to leave at onc e and hurry back to your own home, your beloved native land? Good luck to you, even so. Farewell But if you only knew, down deep, what pains are fated to fill your instill before you reach that shore, youd stay right here, preside in our house with me and be immortal. Much as you long to see your wife, the one you hurt for all your days. Those are some of the traits Odysseus possesses that make me think of him as a hero. Odysseus isnt just strong physically, but strong emotionally as well. Not all heroes are both of those, so Odysseus stands out from other heroes. After reading The Odyssey, I will always remember Odysseus as a great, epic hero.

Health and social unit Essay
Outcome 1 understand the importance of equality and inclusion1.1 Diversity-Diversity literally means difference. Diversity recognises that though mountain have things in common with each other, they are also different and unique in many ways. Diversity is about recognising and valuing those differences. Diversity therefore consists of visible and non-visible factors, which include personalised characteristics such as background, culture, personality and work-style in addition to the characteristics that are protected under discrimination legislation in terms of race, disability, gender, religion and belief, sexual predilection and age.Equality-Equality means treating people in a way that is appropriate for their needs. For example, if someone with a disability wanted to board the plane and was in a wheelchair, it would be no good saying to them, you have to take the stairs like everybody else. What is needed is a way of getting on the plane that exit suit everybodys needs without showing them up and treating them in a way that is worse than other people.Inclusion-Inclusion is about equal opportunities for all pupils, whatever their age, gender, ethnicity, attainment and background. It pays particular attention to the provision made for, and the achievement of, different groups of pupils within a school.Discrimination-Giving preference over one kind of people over a nonher because of race, color, creed, national origin, disability, sexual preference, age, maritial status, looks, etc.1.2In a work place discriminatin can diliberatly occur, I.E for example if you celebrate christmas and make everyone get mired with secret santa or christmas gifts but not everyone may not celebrate christmas some may have differant religions and beliefs,this is why you should see things with anopen mind and not discriminate anyone just because of your own beliefs.1.3By supporting a persons equality you are treating them as equal and including them in all activities, you willi ng be reducing the likelihood of discriminationOutcome 22.1Equality ActHumans Rights ActGSCC = The General Social Care Council.

Dance choreography: Extended programme notes
Big Brother is a dance that explores the composition of universe trapped and controlled within a box. For me the box was a larger metaphor for society, and on another level, the dance explores the idea of society controlling the individual, and the desire to escape this control. The accompaniment I chose is c e precise last(predicate)ed, The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. I chose this mend of music because I felt it created a very strong breeze that largely reflected the emotions of the flake in my dance.Though only used for virtually 20 seconds, the varying pace and the complex rhythms in the piece created an air of frustration, desperation and turbulence- emotions I try to commune as the character attempts to break free of the box. The electric automobile guitars and drums complemented the powerful and often heavy dynamics. I chose to use a portion that moved from a slower tempo into a blistering tempo as I felt this roleplayed the characters situation at that c onduct in the dance. The slower tempo, I feel, made the character seem weary- tired of fight.The transition into the faster tempo as the character makes a final attempt to break free of the box gives the final section an exciting climax, and creates a sense of excitement yet desperation at the idea of escaping. I decided to bring the music in slowly as I felt it built the atmosphere effectively towards a climax at the end of the piece. My piece is split into four sections of ABCD narrative. Section A focussed on the characters discovery of macrocosm trapped, whilst section B looked at the character being controlled whilst being trapped in the box (this was also a theme ladder throughout my piece.Section C, the largest of the sections looked at the characters attempt to escape from the box. Finally, section D, the shortest section, was the characters actual escape from the confines of the box. I began my dance at centre stage, in a ball shape on the stand. By making myself look v ery small, I feel it made me look very vulnerable, and as if confined- immediately defining the idea of restriction. I consequently began to run around the box following a haphazard pathway, pushing off the besieges. Creating the circular box as I define these walls. This random pathway fences the idea of panic for the character on discovering they are in a box.The pathways being random represent the characters lack of self-control over singleself- and underpinning the theme of my dance. Although within these random pathways, I never travel outside the box, outlining the fact I am trapped. The strong pushing gestures ( theme A) I use in this section are one of the main needs running through my piece, and reveal the fact the character is confined to the box. Section B is performed primarily in bound-flow, though the gestures move from closed to open. Initially, the fortification are tight to the body, act to pull outdoor(a)- symbolising chains.Then when free, I take large st eps, trudging around the box in a zigzag pathway, with my arm and head floppy yet tense- as if a puppet. Similarly, the idea of a puppet is reflected in the heavy steps here. I used the puppet to convey the idea of the character being controlled his strings are pulled by society. I wherefore make a gesture, at the edge of the box, facing the audience, as if pulling away the wall of the box. My facial expression here completely changes to one of wonder and confusion, and I use the second motif a mime of touching/exploring the wall before pushing off into a spin (motif B).I do this very softly, a distinguish from the strength of movements inside the box. I am then pulled back into the box, again like a puppet back under the boxs control. This provides the link between section B and section C. I am trying to escape the confines of the box in section C and this is reflected in the repetition of motifs A and B as well as running somewhat the space. As the character is pulled back into the box, the space becomes larger, into a rectangular shape. I included this to allow me to explore a larger amount of the space. This section begins with corresponding puppet like movements from section B this time repeated on the floor.After getting up, I then run about the space, repeating motif A. After pushing off each wall, I develop this motif by adding to the end of it- travelling to the next in various ways spins, slide, take a hop and run. Using many actions accentes the manic behaviour of the trapped character. The space then again becomes small, this time very small, as if within a corridor. Motif A is again actual, this time by using elbows to push instead of palms. As a result of being trapped in this new smaller box, the somewhat free flow gestures seen earlier in this section become bound flow.I then repeat motif B, this time with a new emphasis on the movements. Instead of them being soft, as they were first, I made them powerful and developed them by addin g a hop and push. The hop and push helped make the character look more desperate as if pushing up as well as out of the box. In addition, I developed this motif by repeating each section (the push and spin and then the hop and push) alternately facing to each side. I did this because I wanted to show my motif to the audience from several viewpoints to help add interest to my dance. Section D provides the climax to the dance.The link between section C and D is a laid of fast spins, with arms bent upwards. This shows that the character is breaking out of chains seen in section B. The music becomes louder, and moves into a faster tempo- I imagine this to represent the characters heartbeat. The music in section C is slower, but as the character reaches the final breakout he becomes more and more frantic and excited. The climax is me running into a slide on my knees across the floor toward d witnessstage left. I lick my arms to represent the break for freedom. I then repeat my develope d motif B, further developing it by changing the level.This shows how tired the character has become of fighting to escape. For the final image in my piece I thrash my arms over my head, throw my torso forward and hold. The floppy arms here can be left to interpretation for the audience. They could be seen as covering relief at breaking free of the box. Similarly, they also resemble the puppet arms seen in section B showing the boxs control- and therefore may indicate that however hard he fights, he cannot escape the boxs control. I wished for the audience to make their own interpretation at this point. There is floor work in each of the four sections.The transition between low and high levels suggests at the characters weakness- as if being thrown about the space, as seen in sections A and C. I choreographed this dance as a solo because I wished for it to focus around an individuals fight to break free from the confines of a society that tries to force deal into conforming to cer tain ways- as if the individual is a puppet. By performing in solo, it allows the audience to focus and speculate more on how the individual is affect by society. Similarly, I could have choreographed a group dance to display how this idea of control or the box affects many of us.Throughout my dance I mainly concentrated my focus forward, toward the walls of the box. I did this because I felt it revealed the characters determination to escape the box. I only had a different focus during two other moments. When being the puppet I had my focus follow my arms and legs to suggest that my whole body was being controlled and pulled toward a point in the space. Secondly, in section B when I pulled away from the wall of the box, to show I was outside of the box my focus was all around the space ahead- as if looking in perplexity at what was outside the box.In my piece facial expressions played a huge part in helping tell the story. I used a large variety of facial expressions in accordanc e with my characters varying emotions. In the opening section my facial expressions were wide and open, and my breathing heavy, to show the character is panicking at being in the box. In the puppet section, my face is blank, to show I havent control over myself. When seeing outside the box, I looked around in amazement to show the contrast between the box and the outside.And during sections C and D my facial expressions were often tighter to show the character is angry at being in the box, and is fixed to find a way to escape. I ensured that the music entered at a time that it went well with the narrative. The music was symbolising the characters emotions. When controlled by the box the character has no control over his own emotions. The lack of music symbolises this- no emotion, no music. Similarly, in section D, the music indicated that the character was about to break free, and gain his own emotions back.As a result my music only came in very close to the climax, when I finally escape the box. I had two main inspirations for the dance. The earmark 1984 by George Orwell looks at the idea of society trying to control all aspects of our lives, by taking away individuality and making each person the same. A robot or puppet in the image of society. This is where I got the main idea for the puppet like movements, and for the idea of being trapped within a box. It is also the inspiration for my title Big Brother, a term coined by the book.Also, watch overing the piece Swansong by Christopher Bruce influenced me hugely. I feel the greatest influence it had on me was to create a piece about the world we live in. The themes of bullying and injustices, that Bruce looks at in the piece, are things that happen in the context of prison all around the world. I took from the piece, that sometimes the most powerful pieces are ones that people can in fact understand and relate, to the dance idea. I am extremely pleased with the piece of dance I have choreographed for my coursework. I feel it clearly expressed an interesting dance idea in an engaging fashion.I am particularly, pleased with my manipulation of spatial design to make clear the idea of the box, and the way the box got larger and then closed in around the character. I felt that the simple motifs very clearly communicated the dance idea, with the pushing motions, and were developed in a way that made them very interesting by adding spins, leaps, hops, turns and varying levels. Feedback from my peers suggested that my main motifs very clearly communicated the idea of being trapped within a box, and that the message of the dance was very clear.I believe I made the right decision in choreographing a solo piece, as I feel that this emphasised the idea of an individual against the greater society well. I did not like the section B I initially choreographed, as after watching it back on video and receiving feedback from my teachers I felt it was much weaker in comparison to the rest of the dan ce. The movements were much weaker, and the section did not clearly communicate the dance idea, as it was mainly just a set of non-complementing floor patterns and gestures.I instead developed the theme of societys control, and used this to create the puppet section- a section I am proud of as it is interesting to watch and expresses the dance idea clearly. I could possibly have changed the dynamic of section B to a slower pace to create a greater contrast between the controlled puppet character, and the character fighting for freedom. Other from that, I like the whole of my dance, and felt that all sections were powerful and communicated the dance idea effectively whilst being strong and exciting to watch- especially when combined with my powerful use of facial expression.In feedback from my teachers they suggested that the music would be more appropriately brought in at the point where the character pulls the walls apart and sees outside the box, to show that the character has see n an outside world- a hope- and that now they are not being so controlled but instead fighting the control. My favourite moment of the dance was the ending, the climax to the piece. The loud fast music, powerful and fast dynamic, thrashing gestures and throwing myself to the floor made this very dramatic and a very exhilarating end to the piece.

Every Person Is an Architect of His Own Future
E truly person is an architect of his rising. Discuss. First draft Batyrkhan Saniya, ID 20122886 Academic Reading and Writing Course GEN 1120 Turgan Zhanadilov 12 February 2013 Outline I. Introduction. Thesis statement Although some nice deal believe that it is quite hard to manage the future because of ineluctable fate, there seem to be no doubt that the person and totally person is a creator of the future. II. Body. A. First, the future depends on persons attitude to life. 1. Inspiring yourself 2. Doing everything with love B.Second, person and only person stomach create favorable conditions in his or her life. 1. Experience of achieverful people D. However, some people argue that no angiotensin converting enzyme can manage the future. 1. The mountain 2. Life circumstances III. Conclusion. Meaning of the Every man is an architect of his future make the public understand the phrase in dissimilar ways. Some people become rich and successful by a chance, while others reach t heir goals after a long difference. According to Dahl & exchange (1999), wealthy people may help to unretentive people, but they will not make poor people become as rich as they are.Why they will not make them rich? Someone may say that wealthy man cannot make poor man rich because being poor and being wealthy is the fate. Others may say that living in wealth depends on person if poor person do not want to be rich, he will not be rich but he can be wealthy if he really want it. Some people believe in natures fairnesss that everything in this creative activity is related and nothing can happen just like you want while others cognise that everything in their hands, that they are masters of their life, they are making their destiny by themselves.Although some people believe that it is quite hard to manage the future because of inevitable fate, there seem to be no doubt that the person and only person is a creator of the future. One of the main reasons for saying that everyone is an architect of his future is the persons attitude to life. Our future is what we are thinking and doing now. We creating next day by thoughts, wishes, behavior, etc. That is true There is not only one possible course of events in your life. Every person has several variants of a destiny, and everyone choose the way which he or she wants to follow.The problem is how people feel somewhat a situation that forces them to make this choice. Almost everyone meet with some obstacles on their life road, and many people see them as something irresistible, irreparable. Others see these obstacles as a challenge. They see them as not a dead end, but the opportunity. In all the events that happen around us, for someone there are opportunities and for others may be dead end. For example, Steil (2007) in his article mentioned about a girl, who almost lost the ability to see and move because of accident, weird accident.Doctors said that the situation is very bad, and many people may give up in her place. However, this girl believed herself and in her strength, she was positively-oriented to everything. It was reflected in her attitude to herself and other people. No matter how the situation was bad, she could struggle with this obstacle and move straight to her goals. Another reason is that the person and only person can create favorable conditions in his or her life. The one of unattackable examples for that are the successful people.Not getting that promotion can make person feel like the end of the world, but people who are the idols for whole world show that devastating failures are just another stop on the road to success. For example, Marilyn Monroes first contract with Columbia Pictures expired because they told her she wasnt pretty or dexterous enough to be an actress. Monroekept plugging away and now she is one of the most iconic actresses and sex symbols of all time (http//marilynmonroe. com/history/).Oprah Winfrey was fired from her television report job becaus e they told her she wasnt fit to be on screen. ButWinfrey reboundedand became the undisputed queen of television talk shows. Shes also a billionaire (http//www. oprah. com/index. html). These are the one of the worlds greatest success stories of people, who just happen to have experience of massive failure that could have easily made them give-up. But they didnt and now theyre the monuments of success that they are remembered for, a good source of encouragement when it feels like you will never make it to the top.However, some people argue that no one can manage the future because of the destiny and life circumstances. As Conchalovsky says (2005), For every person, there is a destiny. Nothing happens accidentally, everything happens because of some law or other things. There is a natures law that everything comes from something, all subjects and objects are related to each other. Another example is inevitable life situations occurring frequently nowadays that can ruin plans of huma n at anytime. But, as it was written, the attitude to life helps to fight with these situations.To conclude, our life is complex and unpredictable. Often people think that no one can hide from the fate, that we were born and live on a particular scenario, and that everything what destined above will happen. But few of us have thought about the fact that person creates the future, persons actions, thoughts, desires and feelings. Always remember that people are the creators of the future, so they must create it with enthusiasm, reveal the creative potential. Reference list Ransom, M. R. , Dahl, G. B. My duties as a CNA entailed helping patients/residents with their activities of nonchalant nutrition. I quickly realized that I did not want to play that particular role in the healthcare field and that I needed to do more. I applied for the licensed practical nurse syllabus and was accepted. After graduating and passing my state dialog box exam, I worked as a licensed practical nurse for six and a half years before applying for the associate degree nursing program for registered nurses. I was accepted and after completion my career as a registered nurse began. As a registered nurse my career has lead me to serve in several different positions such as Floor nurse, Home Health nurse, Public Health nurse, Charge nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing and currently limp nurse.In my current role as a Preventive nurse, I am responsible for assessing patients health screenings. In evaluating patients screenings, I provide and explain information about these health screenings as well as relay my findings to the Physicians and Nurse Practitioners to help catalogue these patients with requisite referrals to befool the screenings. My short term professional goal is to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. I chose the University of Phoenix to achieve this goal because of the online cut throughs and cocksure feedback about their programs. I currently need 47 c redit hours to achieve this goal. This Bachelors degree will afford meadvanced opportunities in the nursing field. I will use this degree as a stepping stone to fulfilling my goals. After receiving my Bachelors degree, I plan to further my career in the healthcare field by obtaining a nursing substructure administrators license. With this license, I will begin my quest in owning and operating a long term care facility. This license will allow me to engage in a higher level of learning about long term care rules and regulations.By obtaining licensure as a nursing home administrator, I will display and build skills in the area of working with others as a team. I have intentions on relocating in the next four years to a bigger city to gain experience in a regeneration of areas in the healthcare field. I feel larger areas have more opportunities for a nurse to grow. For example, large cities have more hospitals, behavioral centers and nursing homes. I will use all the available resour ces to build my skills and create a plan for success. After gaining more knowledge and experience, I plan to return home and open a long term care facility specializing in patients with behavioral problems or Alzheimer disease. I feel my community will greatly r distributively from a facility dedicated to these healthcare needs. I see patients that are mentally challenged and some who have Alzheimers that need help with their activities of daily living or just with care in general. Helping others that cannot help themselves is what I enjoy doing. I understand opening a long term care facility will take a great deal of planning from obtaining licensure, to locating perfect area, and securing contractors to build. The most important healthcare resource ever to be hidden in plain view would be the caring intentions of nurses.Employing good study habits, participating in class discussions and time management such as incorporating leisure time for myself to avoid burn-out are my criteri a for academic success. Using time more effectively should enable nursing students to achieve a better agreement between work and personal life (Mirzaei, Oskouie, & Rafli, 2012). Strong study habits are a foundation to having success in school. At the moment, my online classes only require reading. I consider that to be my study time. I realize that my classes will become more advanced and they will require a lot more of particular reading and research. In preparation for the advancement, I plan to more carefully utilize my study time to complete my reading assignments first to focus more on the research and writing areas of my course. Class attendance is an important requirement to be exposed tovital discussions. I plan to participate in the daily discussions and incorporate questions to the instructor and fellow students to help understand topics at hand that I need further comprehension.To stay on track with time management, I have prepared a plan to follow. This ensures that I perform all my tasks in a timely manner. It also allows me to compile short term goals each day to complete and a realistic time frame to complete and perform these tasks. To avoid burn-out, I plan to engage in time for myself by practicing relaxation techniques, exercising and walking. Also, I plan to attend various activities that my daughters participate in to integrate valuable family time into my demanding schedule. To track and monitor my progress during my course of study, I will observe my grades, monitor instructors feedback, and observe the completion of assignments and goals. The University of Phoenix allows a student to keep up with their grades by accessing their schedule and grades on their home page. I will use this and the Phoenix mobile application to keep updated on how well I am performing in my classes. Also, the University of Phoenixs instructors provide feedback after each assignment, I use this as positive feedback to correct and eliminate any future problems .According to (Carter, Bishop, & Kravits, 2011)suggested arranging your progress in a weekly journal as a means of measuring your progress toward your goals. As for myself, I have a deviser that I usually write in to keep track of my assignment due dates, completion and submittal of assignment, as well as my accomplishments. Caring and compassion for others comes second nature to me. I enjoy helping and taking care of others. Accomplishing my goals will help me align myself in a better position to facilitate the necessary provision in the health management of those in need. Nursing has been a rewarding career for me and a wonderful career choice.ReferencesCarter, C., Bishop, J., & Kravits, S. (2011). Black Pillow by Frank Moore
Black Pillow 2002 by Frank Moore is set on a corn domain of a function during daylight. In the minimize of the canvas there is a large factory with some plants and butterflies. The edge of this artwork has a yellowness border and parts of this canvas be in addition lightly filled with the color yellow as well. On the left side of the canvas, there is a farmer in all overalls that does not seem wish he cares about what he is doing, pumping gunman into the roots of the cornfield as he glowers into space.One the bottom of the canvas you can find the gas pedal spilling all over the pillow of the cornfield, the white roots from the corn stand out from the black color of the gasoline. The art elements shown in Black Pillow are that it has a actually warm feel to it since warm colors are used it almost makes you feel like you are there outside in the hot field and gasoline. It is loosely spaced out since there is no color in the background that fills it up a lot except for some yel low lines and spots. It unquestionably has bold colors to it and has no greyscale in it.The yellow has a significant contrast from the background and the black as well. The line of the corn leaves looks very vital and natural while the roots in the gasoline are stiff, rough and dead looking. This canvas shows how humans and industrialization are harming the corn crops by the gasoline, since gasoline consists of ten percent ethanol which comes from cornfields. The color yellow in the border of this artwork symbolizes rotting, heat, decay and death. Which fits in well with this theme since the careless farmer is pumping gas all over the roots of the cornfield.The gasoline which represents the color black means the coldness, negativity and evil that is pouring and taking over the corn which the color yellow can also symbolize joy, happiness, and optimism. The white root of the corn symbolizes how the innocence is being besieged by the gasolines coldness and evil. The gasoline in the pillow of the soil is where it gets its name Black Pillow. Personally, I believe Frank Moore got his message across in this artwork. He is portraying the decay of cornfields because of the improver in oil industry.The color symbolism is prevalent because the oil is the evil that is invading the cornfields for the benefit of more resources. It shows the evolution of where the oil comes from and how it is not used by rights and is wasted on an everyday basis which causes pollution. Frank Moores point for this artwork is to show how ignoble humans are today and how bestial we are to our gentleman enervating its natural beauty for our own selfish purposes. This topic is very imperative to our society today since gasoline is in high demands and our worlds pollution is getting worse by each day.
